This is the product of a sleepless night.
Last night my brain couldn’t stop thinking and kept me awake, so I decided to try out these gridded nails.
It took a while, some patience and a lot of concentration. (Using my left hand was specially challenging, due to a little accident I haven’t used it in weeks and the doctors were only able to save one tendon.) But being focussed on something and physically having to carry it out really clears the mind, I have the same feeling when working on a garment behind the sewing machine; you are forced to be concentrated on only the fabric and the needle or else you’re going to mess up. The more difficult the project, the more relaxed I feel afterwards. It really is like therapy.
The key is to not rush it but take your time. If you haven’t got much time, only do a couple of nails.
1/ Draw two horizontal lines on the nail with a fine brush or a nail art pen and let the polish dry.
2/ Draw three vertical lines.
3/ Apply a layer of (matte) topcoat
