Bloom unapologetically

Flowers, I wasn’t crazy bout them. I used to think that most of them were frilly and prissy, overly feminine. A cliche that I unwittingly adopted that is just as untrue and silly as the ‘pink for girls, blue for boys’ notion.

But I slowly changed my mind about flowers, as their undeniable and impossible to ignore fabulousness kept stopping me in my tracks.

Plants shamelessly open up their colourful, intricate, beautiful reproductive organs. Not worrying about being different or too extra among the green leaves that surround them. Flowers just open up widely and confidently, fulfilling their full potential. They continue with all their energy through cracks in concrete or bend around corners to catch some sun. And even if you cut them down, they will steadily progress to grow new buds to continue their fantastic, non-conforming, brave display. I am in awe of their perseverance to grow and flourish.

Flowers are a reminder to bloom unapologetically.

I was high when I wrote this. </font color>

  1. Ah, I feel the same way about flowers as you! I never cared much for them, but lately I’ve been appreciating their beauty.

You know the saying: ‘you bloom’… And I’m not very girly (mostly, but sometimes I allow myself to do anyway) with flowers but oh dear, what artistic things/bouquets you can make with flowers, leafs and brands. So very zen-ish to do. I bought a bunch of white lilies this week and they a bit to much but it’s natural! Warm white regards, @fabiduister

the lilies…they ‘smell’ a bit to much I ment 😉

hahaha yes – lilies, so beautiful! But have such a strong scent which some people hate but others love. Which is kind of ironic in the context of being unapologetic, and by that not being able to please everyone don’t you think?

Much love back at ya Fabi
