During the change of seasons, when my trusted summer favorites have slowly traveled to the bottom of the piles of clothes and knits have resurfaced from the back corners of my closet – the question “what do I wear” pops up in my mind when it is time to get dressed. An indication that I need to get my wardrobe sorted out, to take inventory (what do I have, what do I need). And ultimately silence that what-do-I-wear-voice in the morning. Here’s is a list that will do just that, or you can just click on the images to shop.
Earrings / Kenneth Jay Lane
These big golden drops are actually clip-in earrings. Cushioned clip in earrings that is, according to the description. Made out of polished gold-plated silver and tin that’s surprisingly lightweight.
Puffer / Weekday
I just ordered this puffer. It is a convertible one, with zip off-sleeves turning into a body warmer. I love the shape, the fact that it has no visible buttons or zippers and that it can go all the way into spring with me.
Wool Trousers / Totême
Totême’s tapered trousers with a slight sheen were on my wish list last year too, but luckily they brought them back this fall. I love when brands do that. When they don’t discard a design but stand by it and offer it for longer than one season.
Creamy tote / Mansur Gavriel
Classic, simple, subtle in a delicious butter color. It was sent down the runway in an equally delicious head-o-toe creamy ensemble that I must have saved and screenshotted more than ten times on my phone.
Manhattan Sneakers / Acne Studios
I made the mistake of purchasing these in black last winter. A black sneaker does not perform like a classic white one in a look. Winter coming around again and I’m still thinking about the white ones.
Semi-Opaque boots / Yeezy
Sturdy, pointy, semi-clear and matte. Okay okay okay Kanye, these are good.
Wonderwood fragrance / Comme des Garçons
As for the olfatic side of things; sandalwood, patchouli and Madagascan pepper please.
Face crayon / Crayola
Childhood flashbacks. Except these are specially made for drawing on your face. Crayola launched a range of multipurpose face crayons inspired by their colorful wax crayons. I can’t wait to experiment and color my lids in this periwinkle color.
Terazzo Soap / Wary Meyers
Handmade, vegan glycerin soap by husband-and-wife team Wary Meyers, interior designers turned soap makers. Both their candles and soaps are informed with the Meyers’ playful wit and panache, I am a fan. Hopefully this soap will get me out of bed and in the shower sooner on dark, cold winter mornings.
