I’m always up for a graphic make up experiment.
Winged eyeliner always feels too heavy and somehow uncomfortably made up for me, I always take it off and go for my usual white lid. Though I do like the graphic and enlarging effect of lines in the outer corner of the eyes. So yesterday I only applied the black partially with a harsh straight transition into a white line. I love how visually strong, yet subtle it turned out, I didn’t even add mascara afterwards as these black and white graphics were quite enough on the face.

1/ Line your upper lash line with a white eye pencil.
2/ Mark the beginning and end of the black liner with a small straight line at about one third of your eye and one diagonal line from the outer corner.
3/ Carefully connected the lines.

Ivania, it’s great to see you experiment with eyeliner. Youre very inspiring πŸ™‚ sometimes I feel a little lost with make up as i dont really like 1940’s style (red lips, winged black eyeliner, thin brows) but this style is very popular where I live. Practically every girl in my city does it, to the point of me thinking ‘This must be the only way make up can be done’ – so much so that I just didnt wear any make up for years, rather than do that style which didnt appeal to me.

This sounds silly πŸ™‚ but it was lovely to discover your blog years ago amoungst a sea of pretty vacant and doppleganger blogs. Thank you for showing me how to think outside the box with make up!

I look very sexy on you. I don’t know why but you get a brigitte bardot feel with it.

Oh this is so good! I just recently experimented with just white liquid eyeliner but it didn’t turn out that good on me. Though I then used it as a mascara (since I couldn’t find a white mascara) and I think it looks quite good that way! One would never guess white liquid eyeliner can be multifunctional πŸ˜‰ Wrote about it here too
I guess I could give it another try with your duotone look. Looks so cool!

It looks amazing on you! Love the sudden transition; it looks much cleaner than a gradual change in color πŸ™‚

Such a good look. I’m not much of a makeup person either but this looks so simple yet striking. I think it would also look great on women with dark skin, like myself. Thanks for this!
