Discussing The Standard Silver Hoop Earring

The word ‘timeless’ is used so much, that it has become a cliche to describe clothes with. Because really (except for a white tee, maybe) almost nothing is truly timeless. Not even those jeans and that white cotton shirt. Cuts, buttons, sleeve and collar styles give away their specific place in time. So to put the label ‘timeless’ on something, should be a rare occasion.

Here is that occasion. The standard, silver, tube, hoop earring. The fact that I could use the word standard in its description says enough. My chunky hoops with a french roll have been on heavy rotation for me lately. It almost makes me consider purchasing the not-so-standard interrupted hoop by Maria Black.

I definitely have to agree, it’s slightly worrying how shop and campaigns market their clothing just in order to be bought, without actually giving the clothing the has the truest potential the time of day! This was such a well written post! Great as always, thank you Ivania x

I agree with you, although it’s timeless but I think the hoop earrings are not for everyone. It looks not very good in my face 🙁
