The closest to home ‘Places’ we’ve ever done; arguably the most on point store in our hometown Utrecht. A corner canal-house with tall arched windows, a row of fluorescent lights suspended from the ceiling, tropical greens in every corner and organised eyewear alternated with round mirrors. Props to Kim Keogh from Occult Studio for doing the Ace & Tate flagship store interior: minimalist, yet so very cosy, inviting and homey.
Ace & Tate invited us to get a peek at their upcoming SS16 pre-collection: Volcanic Attraction, think matte finishes and thin frames. This sturdy, black metal number (Rae in matte black) is my favourite, the shape feels like a classic, yet modern enough that you can’t quite pinpoint an exact vintage reference. Keep an eye on their site, the collection is launching today!
