Minim Play Cards here
images by Romeo and me

A deck of cards has never looked so good.
Meet the Minim Playing Cards designed by the product designer and inventor Joe Doucet. The hearts, diamonds, clubs and the spades have been reduced to simple geometric shapes and all unnecessary imagery has been stripped from the cards. I keep the white rectangular box with a thin diagonal line across it right in sight on our coffee table, so beautiful and so inviting to play a game.

    Clean, simple, beautiful.
The only thing is that the shapse are a little too small to be seen easily when playing. I mean to me the point of minimalism is to get rid of the unecessary in order to focus on the core and the use of the object. And here it might not be very practical.
But still, great design and great photo staging.

Actually, the shapes are much better visible in real life. I like to take my pictures with a lot of light which makes them a little less clear.
