Chairs currently excite me more than clothes.
Specially these tip-up ones: a 1978 design by Danish industrial designer Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA.
You’ve surely seen them around on Love Aesthetics; they are my favourite furniture pieces in my workspace. I’m sitting on one as I’m writing this – Oh and very soon one of those seats is going to be free, stay tuned!
/ Leaving you this Sunday with Niels’ inspiring vision and mission:
” I want to do good with my design.
I want to make the ordinary life a little bit more comfortable, a little bit more enjoyable, a little bit more clever with my design.
Every little detail, on every product has to fulfill my do good mission.
I want to explore the core of design.
I want to make more out of the design , finding the core benefit of design that will do your life good. ”
