Double Parted Ponytail

two hair ties
bit of gel or hair spray

Seen double partings on a lot of runways; Gianfranco Ferre, Ann Demeulemeester and recently also at Barbara Langendijk among others. (Also looks fantastic with dark hair) But never have I come across someone on the streets with two partings like this. So I thought I’d give it a try as a variation on my usual middle parting with low ponytail. Loving how easy it is to get this graphic symmetric look.

how to
/ Find the center of your hairline and from there make two diagonal partings.
/ Now you’ve created a triangle of hair on the top of your head, pin this up into a little bun.
/ Comb the rest of the hair downwards into a sleek, low ponytail and secure it with a hair tie.
/ Take out the little bun and comb this top section of hair backwards and secure it with another tie over the existing ponytail.

I can’t believe something so simple could be so effective! I’m willing my fringe to grow out speedier than ever before now – this is really nice & I suspect really good for work. Beats the usual ponytail, that’s for sure.

this reminds me of the crazy partings my mum used to put in my hair when i was little. i think my favourite is still zig-zags! i rarely wear my hair in a low pony but i think this would look alot better than the standard middle parting.

you look beaut as ever miss.

  19. Absolutely love the partings on you

Sorry that this is slightly off subject, but is this hair colour here achieved from the directions hair dye you wrote about on an older post or were you using something different? It’s gorgeous as always x
