Another 1 minute DIY project that every to-do-list still has space for.
Over, under, tucked, untucked. Together or separately from the rest of the jeans. Or my preferred way: with a pair of neat, tailored trousers. Yes, this is a great layering piece that will add a bit of fray to all your basics. Do you remember those denim-hybrids in the early 2000s? I just got a high school flashback of myself wearing (get ready..) a pair of bellbottom sweatpants, with sporty white and red stripes on the side and a frayed denim top attached, just like this belt.
All you need is a pair of high waisted jeans, some scissors and a couple of minutes to work on the fray. The vintage Levi’s 501 jeans, that still have 5 buttons (instead of the newer versions with one button and a zipper) work extremely good with this project. After cutting of the top for belting purposes, the rest of the jeans can still live on in a new low waist form.
